Amazing. You could make a business building and selling these. If someone sent you a desktop PC and the other components, could you transform their desktop into this thing? How much would you charge for building one of these, and how long would it take?

    > _Portable PLP setup_ SOLD. Edit:: 8:05 -ish. They look great as-is, I'd say, but an even powdercoat would have looked great. Edit2:: 19:15 I'm seeing exactly _eight_ drives in that 100TB NAS. How...is that thing configured? If one of those drives fail, do you _really_ want to be biting your nails waiting for a drive that big to resilver? That's not guaranteed safety. You should really have _multiple_ layers of backup. Start following Level1Techs. I'm sure Wendell would love to collab with you. Edit3:: Razer already had a prototype for a similar product, (though it wasn't a PLP setup, it was more of an all-in-one LLL laptop) and didn't move forward because they decided there was no market share for that kinda thing. "Project Valerie," I think they called it.

Hi my dear! congrats on your video I always follow you and I wanted to ask you whether would you like us to interview you at Britalians TV and whether could you make a video about shrinking a big desktop pc inside a flight portable luggage or bag or even a much smaller case? Sorry for asking this video but I have one of those big desktop pc and since we travel a lot I'd love to bring it with me instead of my useless laptop. But my desktop pc doesn't fit any airline company policies so it would be great to have a solution to this! love you buddy! Marco

I wonder how much electricity is actually used minus the heat generation. I would think half or less. We had always been told the heat is from making everything so compact to fit in a laptop but I wonder as desktops use a lot of electricity still.

I found your channel by accident. You have some very interesting builds! I had a HP Omen pc that performed flawlessly for many years. I decided to upgraded it as rending software was going gpu and my mobo wouldn't take a large card. I meticulously back up everything onto a external hard drive. I had my pc built and it arrived I had two ssd cards, no spinning drives. I transferred all my data over and then I had to use my external hdd's to transfer stuff form my sons old pc as I was giving him the Envy. After two weeks, my ssd failed. I lost everything as a I had overwritten my old stuff with my son's stuff to transfer. I spoke with that bloke that built my pc and we spent ages checking things out and it was toast. I had to take this brand new pc to my local repair place and pay him to put in a new ssd and windows. I got a refund from the builder to cover my costs and so far this machine has been bulletproof. I lost everything though. Years of projects, photos I'd saved, etc etc etc. Word to the wise, if you make a backup, do it on something you wont have to overwrite.

My only gripe is that folded up it looks a little unsightly, with all the holes, screws and ports seemingly in all irregular and random places it looks like what most people class it as...a bomb of sorts. None of this detracts from how as a concept and even unfolded from the front it's simply spectacular I saw a comment about having a case on it for transport, the bomb look of it I doubt you can talk your way out of but if it had a case that was light, covered up your holes and ports to add some weatherproofing for tranport and made it look a little more like a suitcase I think it'd be perfect Don't take this criticism too harshly thoug, you've done an absolutely stellar job on this build and it's simply jawdropping to see this come to life, it's just nothing in this world is perfect and there's always room for improvement. Plus it's a good thing that this criticism is small could be fixed easily (Well if you know what you're doing which you've showed me you absolutely are capable of that), honestly just a fitted case will do it justice

This is impressive but really just for showing off. Dismantling a laptop would have been more practical then changing it to a suitcase. Especially because laptop components weigh less and the most important factor is that it only consumes 60-180+ watts and only 10-15% less performance for the desktop version. Especially when the tigerlake cpus are absolutely insane in performance. You could have thin out the design more.

  • Very Nice

    Very Nice

    15 วันที่ผ่านมา

@Hamam Abushima but the ideal build here is “lightweight” and “portable” disasembling a laptop is not lazy either because you need custom cooling that is not available in some markets. And if you’ve looked up tigerlake mobile cpus there is no “compromise” when it comes to performance because it is already a beast on its own.

  • Hamam Abushima

    Hamam Abushima

    15 วันที่ผ่านมา

The keyword here is "no compromise" which he kept repeating. Using laptop components would've been lazy and involves some compromise when it comes to performance.
